While there may be those who will scoff at the concept of perfecting ones penmanship due to the increasing use of computers and other technological advancements, this Toymaker does not believe that the art of penmanship is on the decline.
Twenty years ago (Oh, wow!) the Toymaker was told not to worry about learning how to spell rudimentary words as all we would need in the future was a good spell checker! Ah! The best jobs may go to those who can program that spell checker!
The Toymaker believes in the basics and one of the basics of a good education is writing along with reading and arithmetic. One of the basic tools used for teaching writing is the lined penmanship paper so many of us have grown up with and is still sought today for teaching the basics – how to write your letters!
